With the rising costs of health care products, patients with spinal cord injury find it difficult to pay for uninsured medical expenses. Now, there’s some help!

Money raised through the National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF) is used to pay for doctor and hospital bills, medical insurance premiums, deductibles and co-payments, medications, treatments and home medical supplies, durable medical equipment and specially equipped vans, nursing assistance and home care, physical therapy and rehabilitation, and medically related travel and relocation expenses.

NTAF can provide patients with fundraising support, tax-deductibility for donations and assurances to donors that funds will be disbursed only for appropriate, medically related expenses.

Over the past 20 years, NTAF has helped more that 1,800 patients raise over $27 million to cover uninsured costs associated with severe medical conditions.

Since the inception of the new Spinal Cord Injury Program, the organization has established 22 campaigns, raising over $1,200,000 to directly benefit patients who have experienced acute spinal cord and other catastrophic injuries.
