Welcome to the Connecticut Chapter of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association

President's Message - Fall - Winter 2004

Dear Friends,

NSCIA CT Pres. Bill Mancini

The year 2003 has come and gone very quickly. But before we enter 2004, the National Spinal Cord Injury Association – Connecticut Chapter is ready to make some big moves.

We are looking towards setting up an agenda in the area of advocacy, and would like your help in doing this. Please contact us about your issues and concerns regarding services in Connecticut for people with disabilities.

The committee has a lot of knowledge and is willing to do what it takes to present our concerns to the leaders in our state government. We would like you to help in addressing concerns over transportation, housing, vocational rehabilitation and other social program that in the recent past have been cut. Email us at nscia@sciact.org.

The CT CHAPTER in cooperation with the Hospital for Special Care and the Spinal Bifida Association is still operating the SCI Resource Center. More information is included in this issue of the CONN-CORD.

To get more information on these and other NSCIA CT CHAPTER programs and services please call me at 203.284.1045 or email me at nsciact@sciact.org or visit our Web site at www.sciact.org.

-Bill Mancini
