Due to the concern regarding the spread of coronavirus, the Spinal Cord Injury Association of Connecticut is following the State of Connecticut’s lead in limiting large gatherings of people. We made the decision to postpone the Saturday, March 14, 2020 Twilight Gala.  While we are grateful for all your support and truly enjoy celebrating with you, we believe in safety first regarding the health of our community.

Adaptive Ballroom Dancing Workshop August 17th

Join Andrea Resnisky, dance instructor at the Fred Astaire Dance Studios of West Hartford CT on Saturday August 17, 2019 at 2-3:30pm for a free 90 minute workshop. Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from Southern Connecticut State University and received two certifications in Para Dance at the Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. She looks forward to starting a Dance Mobility program here in CT.

Milford "Bar Crawl" Raises Money for SCIACT

The 7th Annual Milford Bar Crawl was held on Saturday July 9, 2016 at 1pm, making the rounds to local establishments like Citrus, Archie Moores, Eli's, and Stonebridge where many still stayed well into the night. Participants raised not only SCI awareness but $1750 for the United Spinal Association CT Chapter a well! Click for photos of this year's event.

Gaylord Sports Association has become Paralympic Sport Club of Southern New England

NSCIA Supports CT Team Reeve 2nd Annual Roll-A-Thon

The CT Chapter of NSCIA supported the CT Team Reeve 2nd Annual Roll-A-Thon on Sunday September 25, 2011. A great many people attended the event in Hartford's Bushnell Park, participating in adaptive sports and a wheelchair course through the park. Participants received information from our chapter and we signed up 11 new members.
